Raising Awareness of Mental Illness

One in four people will experience mental health problems – such as depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder (manic depression) - at some point in their lifetime, but there remains a great deal of ignorance about what it’s really like to experience mental illness.

I wrote my debut novel, The Fire in Your Eyes to capture the experience of Bipolar Affective Disorder (formerly known as Manic Depression) and raise awareness of the way mental illness affects lives. Chipmunka Publishing, the mental health publishers, released The Fire in Your Eyes in paperback in August 2009.

Since then, I have written two more novels, Legacy of Lies and Wading the Waters of My Mind, and a non-fiction book offering a comprehensive look at Schizoaffective Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder Simplified.
